The intention of Holistic Traditions is to nurture, support and heal using the laws of nature and foundations of health. To inspire, empower and educate you during your healing process or life journey, and to provide lifestyle modifications to enhance vitality and health. To support you in discovering who you are, as you unearth your heart’s desires and true purpose in life.

Foundations of Health

The Foundations of Health are determined by our anatomy and physiology. Nourishing traditional whole foods and herbal remedies are your best medicine. This is the ancient wisdom of traditional cultures that enjoyed superb health and harmony.

A healthy body requires nutrient dense whole foods and herbal remedies that can sustain, cleanse, build and repair.

It is vital that you eat as evolution intended. It is equally important that your food is grown and produced as their evolution intended.

Gentle and holistic herbal remedies are formulated to support and strengthen the body systems and healing processes.

The Foundations of Health are: Thoughts, Breathing, Nutrition, Hydration, Movement and Sleep.

Thoughts: Positive thinking and using your mind productively. Stay true to who you are, listen to what you really want, then take action to create your goals.

Breathing: Correct breathing technique and meditation for optimal health, healing and clarity of mind.

Nutrition: Slow cooking at lower temperatures and correct preparation of foods increases nutritional density, digestion and assimilation. Nutrient requirements can be met through a whole food diet. Holistic Traditions recommends the following whole foods for healing and optimal health:

  • Organic, seasonal & locally grown fruit and vegetables
  • Pastured, free range and organic meats, poultry, organ meats, eggs and dairy
  • Wild and sustainably sourced fish and sea food
  • Traditional and nutrient dense fats for cooking
  • Fermented foods for optimal digestion and bone broths for optimal restorative nutrients
  • Soaking of nuts and seeds to assist digestion and optimal absorption of nutrients
  • Seasonal cleansing to support and repair digestive function

Hydration: Quality filtered water with a touch of Himalayan Rock Salt or Celtic Sea Salt to add trace minerals and enhance hydration.

Movement: Body Balancing Stretches and Energising Exercises to improve posture, address muscles imbalances and to build energy and vitality.
